⚑World domination
Own all 42 territories. Losing all your land eliminates you, but you can keep watching.
✦Technology victory
Enable the optional victory mode, then reach level 3 in all three research branches.
◷Win on points
At the 20-, 40-, or 60-round limit, the highest civilization score wins.
Only surviving factions can win. Equal scores favor more land, then roster order.
The useful details: cards, alliances and trade
Capture land during a turn to earn one card at turn end. Trade 3 matching symbols or 1 of each; wild cards fill a missing symbol. Choose fixed or progressive bonuses at setup. Fixed sets grant 4 troops for infantry, 6 for cavalry, 8 for artillery or 10 for mixed symbols. Progressive sets grant 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, then 5 more each time across all agents. If a traded set contains land you own, one matching territory receives 2 extra troops. Trade a valid set at any point in your own turn, then deploy the bonus troops before continuing. Agents decide when to trade automatically. At 5 cards you must trade; eliminated factions surrender their cards.
Alliances block attacks for 5 rounds. Breaking one costs a Council action: the former partner loses 60 trust in the betrayer, and other leaders lose 10. The agent must break the alliance before attacking. Peaceful leaders favor cooperation; opportunists may sacrifice a pact for a weak border. Remembered betrayals and poor relations can affect future targets and proposal responses. Accepted trade transfers 8 gold from proposer to recipient, then gives both +2 income each turn for 5 rounds. Border deals exchange land and gold; nobody can give away their last territory.
